St. Lawrence Of Brindisi SEASONAL SERMONS This volume, entitled SEASONAL SERMONS, is the seventh volume of the writings of Saint Lawrence translated into English. It represents a quite orderly progression of sermons from the Feast of Saint Andrew, which occurs either immediately before or at the very beginning of Advent, to the Feast of Corpus Christi, which ordinarily is celebrated in early June or even late May. The sermons are chiefly sermons for the Sundays during that period, although some are for various feastdays that occur during that same time. Quite often, a second homily, similar in content to the first homily, is also added for certain Sundays and feasts. The sermons are quite doctrinal and theological in content and, as is customary in all of Saint Lawrence's sermons, liberally sprinkled with Scriptural references and examples from both the Old and New Testaments.
