St. Lawrence Of Brindisi FEASTDAY SERMONS The present volume of FEASTDAY SERMONS is Volume Six of the writings of Saint Lawrence and is divided into two parts containing homilies for a limited number of feastdays during the liturgical year. Part One contains homilies for sixteen such feastdays, although a few of the feastdays have a second and even a third homily at times. To these sixteen feastday sermons, the Latin editors have also appended other sermons that deal not with individual feasts but with Gospel texts taken from five of the various COMMONS found in the Roman Missal. Part Two contains homilies for six feastdays, for the most part representing the same feastdays contained in Part One. To these the Latin editors have added two Appendices, gleaned from various manuscripts, which I have taken the liberty to present in reverse order to their appearance in the Latin edition. Appendix One contains homilies for nine feastdays, while Appendix Two also contains nine homilies, translated from Italian, on various topics. The sermons are both exegetical as well as motivational and, as in all Saint Lawrence's writings, saturated with Scripture references from both the Old and New Testament.
