St. Lawrence Of Brindisi SUNDAY SERMONS Volume One This volume of Sunday Sermons of Saint Lawrence of Brindisi represents the fourth volume of his works that have been translated into English from the original Latin. The present volume has been preceded by his Mariale, Lenten Sermons, and Advent Sermons, in that order. This volume, however, contains only about one-half of the sermons included in the Latin volume, which consists of over 750 pages. It was felt best to divide the Latin edition into two English volumes to keep a single volume from becoming too bulky. The second volume of Sunday Sermons will follow upon this one. The sermons are logically arranged according to the liturgical year and, as in previous editions, a second, third, or even a fourth sermon for the same Sunday often follows the first sermon. For the most part, the additional sermons summarize the first sermon, but quite often some new insights are included as well.
