St. Lawrence Of* Brindisi SUNDAY SERMONS Volume Two This volume represents the second half of Saint Lawrence=s SUNDAY SERMONS. The first section follows a rather orderly progression of sermons for the Sundays after Easter to the Twenty-fourth Sunday after Pentecost, as the designation was at that time, with the exception of the Fifteenth and Sixteenth Sundays. However, the sermons and even the shorter outlines are very logically developed and provide food for meditation as well as for preaching. In many of the sermons, the philosopher in Saint Lawrence comes to the foreground, as he frequently states points in terms of philosophical categories, causes and effects, etc. Also very apparent is an analytical mind that offers explanations in terms of numerical comparisons, especially evident in one of the fragmentary sermons based on the science of numerology, which seems to have been one of his avocations.
