God who wipes away tears About The Book- Rejoice in the Lord There are many passages in the Bible that could give the impression that the sacred authors are trying to create an image of God that would evoke fear in the people. We can see many incidents to support this assumption. But, when one takes a closer look at these passages another picture would come into focus. In the Old Testament as well as in the New Testament, we can see a picture of God who loves the people more deeply than a mother loves her child. This merciful love evokes not fear but joy and hope. “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” (Jn 3, 16). When the Word of God sheds light in our paths, our lives will be filled with hope and hearts with joy. Twenty Seven such passages are presented in this book
