TRUTH IN FETTERS Broken Promises Shattered Unity This book is an elaboration of the politics unleashed in the country from 2014, politics in the name of religion. It focuses on the divisive politics undertaken by Modi Sarkar. The high emotive pitch of communal issues like holy cow, beef, Ram Temple, Love Jihad has created an atmosphere of insec-urity and intimidation. The promotion of blind faith, under-mining of scientific temper and tampering with Curriculum, distortion of history is also outlined. It appeals for bringing back the values of Liberty, Equality, Fraternity and Justice on the political canvass of the country. About the Author Ram Puniyani, is a farmer professor of HT Bombay, who has been engaged in activism and writing to promote communal harmony and national integration. Has written sev-eral books like 'Communal Politics' (Sage 2002), 'Second Assassination of Gandhi' (Media House 2003), 'Caste and Commun-alism' (Olive, 2015), 'Deconstructing Ter-rorist Violence' (Sage 2015) `Ambedkar and Hindutva Politics' (Pharos Media, 2016). He is recipient of Indira Gandhi National Integ-ration Award (2006), National Communal Harmony Award (2007).
